Our planet is dying. Don’t you hear her cry? Her beauteous rivers and valleys, Choking with the waste of man. Her once pristine water, clarity, healing, Has gone by the way of industry. The air so alive, the breath which gives life, Is choking with chemicals and smoke. The waste that will last for a million years, Cannot find a resting place. Don’t you hear her crying? This beautiful life. Does she not reflect what We are doing to ourselves? Our bodies, the decay, the abuse. The terror, the fear. Stifling the Spirit. Merry C. Battles is the author and illustrator of "Christmas Meditations on the Twelve Holy Days December 26 - January 6" It is her 26 year meditation journey with the 12 holy days of Christmas. Her book can be used all year long as we travel through each sign of the Zodiac. Merry has worked in the Healing Arts since 1977.
